Same-Day and Late-Night Weed Delivery in Boston: How Windows and Cutoffs Work

How same-day and late-night weed delivery works in Boston: the 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. legal window, order cutoffs, one delivery a day, and planning ahead. 21+.

"Same-day" and "late-night" mean something specific for licensed cannabis delivery in Boston. State rules set the outer limits on hours, how often you can receive a delivery and how much each order can hold, and every licensed service works inside them. Here's how delivery windows and cutoffs work, what "late night" can legally mean, and how to plan so your order arrives when you want it.

Key takeaways

  • By law, every delivery must be completed between 7:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m. A city or town can narrow that window but can't widen it.
  • "Late-night" legally ends at 11:00 p.m. No licensed service delivers after that.
  • Same-day orders need to be in before the cutoff: ours is 9pm (7pm on Sundays).
  • You can get one delivery per person per day at the same address, so build one complete order.
  • Pre-verify your ID early. It's required before your first delivery.

Under 935 CMR 500.145, all deliveries must be completed between 7:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m. local time. The CCC expanded the window to those hours in regulations that took effect in November 2024. (You may still see the older 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. window quoted in some guidance documents.)

A host community can set different hours by ordinance or bylaw, but only narrower ones: it can't start deliveries earlier than 7 a.m. or end them later than 11 p.m. Local rules can change, so the windows offered at checkout are the ones available for your address, and your city or town clerk can tell you whether local hours apply.

The key word is completed. 11:00 p.m. isn't the last time to place an order. It's the time by which the product has to be in your hands. The ordering cutoff comes earlier to leave time for packing, routing and the ID check at your door.

How our delivery windows work

  • Delivery windows: 12–2pm, 2–4pm, 4–6pm, 6–8pm, 8–10pm and 10–11pm Monday to Saturday; 12–2pm through 8–10pm on Sunday
  • Same-day order cutoff: 9pm (7pm on Sundays)
  • Hours: Mon–Sat 12pm–11pm, Sun 12pm–10pm
  • Typical time from order to door: 30 minutes to 2 hours
  • Minimum order / delivery fee: $50 / $4

You choose a window at checkout from the ones still open. The later in the day you order, the fewer windows are left to choose from.

What "late-night" means here

If you're hoping for a delivery at 1 a.m., no licensed service can do it. In Massachusetts, late-night delivery means evening windows that end by 11:00 p.m. Our latest window is the last one listed under 12–2pm, 2–4pm, 4–6pm, 6–8pm, 8–10pm and 10–11pm Monday to Saturday; 12–2pm through 8–10pm on Sunday above.

If a service offers delivery after 11 p.m., to a hotel, or without checking ID, it isn't following state rules. Our guide Is weed delivery legal in Massachusetts? explains how to check a license.

Rules that affect same-day timing

One delivery per day

A licensee may not deliver to the same consumer at the same residence more than once each calendar day. If you forget something after your order arrives, it waits until tomorrow.

One order, up to two ounces

Each delivery can carry one individual order per consumer, capped at two ounces of flower or the equivalent (10 g of active THC in concentrates, 1,000 mg in edibles). See the purchase and possession limits guide for how mixed carts count.

You have to be there

Only the person who placed the order can receive it, after the driver checks the pre-verified ID, proof of order and signature. If you're not home when the driver arrives, the order goes back to licensed premises, and with one delivery per day you may not get another attempt until tomorrow. The ID requirements guide covers the details.

How to plan a same-day order that arrives on time

  1. Create your account and pre-verify your ID now, not when you need an order. Pre-verification is required before your first delivery, and doing it early removes the biggest first-time delay.
  2. Order earlier than you think. The cutoff is 9pm (7pm on Sundays), and the closer you get to it, the fewer windows are left.
  3. Build one complete order. With one delivery per day, add everything you'll want (flower, a vape, papers from accessories) before checking out.
  4. Pick a window you'll actually be home for. The person on the order has to answer the door.
  5. Give clear access notes. Buzzer codes, gate instructions and which entrance to use help, especially in dense neighborhoods.
  6. Keep your phone on. The driver may need to reach you on arrival.
  7. Double-check your address type. Delivery goes only to a residence: a house, condo or apartment. Not dorms, hotels, offices or federal public housing.

What can slow down a same-day order

Most delays come from the handoff, not the drive. The ones you can control:

  • ID that doesn't match your account. If you renewed your license, upload the new one before ordering. The driver has to match the ID at the door to the one you pre-verified.
  • Nobody at the door. Only the person who ordered can sign. If you step out, the driver can't leave the order with a roommate or at the front desk.
  • Hard-to-find entrances. Triple-deckers with side doors, rear-entry units, big apartment complexes and buildings with call boxes all go faster with a clear note.
  • An address delivery can't serve. Dorms, hotels, offices and addresses in towns with an active delivery waiver can't receive orders. Check the delivery areas page first.
  • A cart over the limit. An order has to fit within two ounces or the equivalent. If you're mixing flower, vapes and edibles, see how the limit counts in our limits guide.

Ordering now vs. scheduling a window

If you're flexible, picking a later window often works out better than asking for the soonest one: you know when to be home, and the driver knows when to arrive. Scheduling options depend on what's open at checkout: 12–2pm, 2–4pm, 4–6pm, 6–8pm, 8–10pm and 10–11pm Monday to Saturday; 12–2pm through 8–10pm on Sunday.

Delivery around Boston

We deliver across the city's neighborhoods. Each has its own page with local notes:

Beyond the city limits, we also serve Cambridge, Somerville, Brookline, Quincy and more. See the Boston delivery page or all delivery areas.

A note for students: state rules prohibit delivery to college- or university-designated dormitories or housing, so on-campus addresses in Allston, Fenway or anywhere else aren't eligible. An off-campus apartment in your own name is fine if you're 21+.

After it arrives

Store your products securely and out of reach of anyone under 21. Cannabis can't be consumed in public places in Massachusetts, and it's illegal to drive under the influence. If you're trying edibles in the evening, remember the state-required warning: the impairment effects of edibles may be delayed by two hours or more. Start low, go slow. Our first-timer's edibles guide explains why.

Order ahead, not last-minute

The fastest same-day delivery is the one you set up in advance: account created, ID verified, cart built, window chosen. Start shopping, or read how cannabis delivery works in Massachusetts for the full process.

Hours and rules reflect Massachusetts regulations as of September 2026. Our operating hours and windows may change; checkout always shows the current options. For adults 21+ only.

Frequently asked questions

What time does weed delivery stop in Boston?

Massachusetts regulations require all deliveries to be completed by 11:00 p.m. local time, and a city or town can set an earlier end time. Our own last delivery window and same-day cutoff are shown at checkout.

Can I get weed delivered after midnight in Massachusetts?

No. Licensed deliveries must be completed between 7:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m. Any service offering to deliver after 11 p.m. is not operating within state rules.

Can I order a second delivery the same day?

No. A licensee may not deliver to the same consumer at the same residence more than once per calendar day. Build one complete order instead.

Can I schedule a delivery for tomorrow?

You can choose from the delivery windows offered at checkout. Our windows and scheduling options are listed on the checkout page.

Why does my first same-day order take longer?

State rules require your government-issued photo ID to be pre-verified before your first delivery. Doing that when you create your account, before you need an order, avoids a delay.
